An international convention centre was constructed to host
the 2014 APEC Meeting, and President Barrack Obama and other dignitaries stayed
at the ultra-luxurious Yanqi Resort which is also managed by Kempinski.
The mountains provide a majestic backdrop for the landscape. Being
early Spring, the trees and flowers have not started to bloom yet. So the
scenery is a bit stark but still beautiful.
